In Russian culture, it is considered bad taste to try to evangelize Muslims. Recently, an Oscar-winning Russian movie director who identifies himself as Orthodox Christian said that he feels closer to Russian Muslims than to Western Christians.
While culture is certainly important, twenty million Muslims living in Russia need Jesus as much as everyone else. They need to hear the Good News despite the walls of tradition and political correctness.
“I came to church because I had been listening to FEBC Gospel broadcasts for several months,” said Ibragim, who came to Moscow from Azerbaijan to work. “Most people either hate us as immigrants or look down on us. But listening to your programs, I felt respected and…loved. Yes, it was genuine Christ-like love that I felt.”
We have several types of programs for cultural Muslims. One consists of testimonies of Christians with Muslim backgrounds. Most names are changed, and sometimes we have to alter the voice of the speaker for his or her safety. These programs are the most effective, for they help people see a practical way of becoming a Christ follower.
We also have programs that deal with the Koran, as well as programs that explain the Bible with the Muslim culture in mind.
We are working on a special website where all these programs will be assembled, including a Q&A section.
OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE
We need $500 every month to continue to produce this program and to make the website functional.

Please pray for the 20 million Russian Muslims who need to hear the Good News of salvation and life in Jesus Christ.
“Thank you for your programs. I am a secret believer, for I feel that Jesus is real and He loves me.”
