I have a long history with FEBC radio. I live in the center of a coal mining region in Siberia, in the city of Kemerovo. Our city is known for “real,” no-nonsense kind of men.
Thousands of our young men take drugs. Years ago, when we started a rehab center for you drug addicts, I installed a satellite dish on the building, and tuned it to FEBC broadcasts. It proved to be incredibly valuable, because I saw how these young guys who knew nothing about Christ came to life as they listened to your broadcasts. You provide such wealth of practical, Bible-based teaching! On numerous times they called your station, shared their experiences, and asked questions.
I decided to install a dish at my home and at the church. For our young people FEBC broadcasts became a great model for talking to non-Christians, helping them see their need for a Savior, and finding a way to share the Good News.
I was one of the first to begin using your new phone app that you introduced last year. Now FEBC is always with me, as I drive, take a bus trip, or eat at a restaurant. I listen all the time, and am encouraged and blessed. And since I added FEBC’s bold and stylish cover to my phone, with your logo on it, I am having such a great time evangelizing people! Everywhere! Almost every day someone asks me: “what is the logo on your phone?” “Let me show you,” I say and help them install your app, it takes less than a minute. What a blessing it is!
I feel that I am your co-worker, for we are in this together, sharing Christ with the people of Russia. Living deep in Siberia, I see how hopeless and desperate these “real men” are for the Good News. Men and women of Siberia are dying without Christ. But we can give them hope. In less than a minute, and then they can listen and become children of God, for eternity.
I love you, brothers, thank you for being there for us.
We must invest in new programming and in Internet specialists. This translates into $32,000 in new salaries and promotional expenses for the next six months. We urgently need to invest $12,000 into the Kiev broadcast center and our ministry in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.
